Text blocks in the email builder

When using the template builder, you can drag and drop a "Text" block into your design to add headings, lists, quotes and normal text in a variety of fonts, sizes, styles and colours. You can also add links and personalisation. 

Default Font

Your default font family and colour are set under the "Body" section of your campaign. There you can set what you'd like your default font and font colour to be throughout your campaign. You are also able to update your font within each of your text blocks. 

Font Family & Compatibility 

We offer 30 different fonts within our template builder. These fonts were selected to try and accommodate as many users as possible whilst remaining email-safe. While the fonts you choose will display as expected in the email builder and the web version of your email, they may display differently in test and sent campaigns depending on the devices and email clients your recipients use. 

Font Colour 

You can change the colour of the text by clicking on the colour option represented by an “A” in the text toolbar. If you want to add your own colour or a HEX code, select the paint palette and you will get more options to update the colour. 

Personalisation 

You can make use of merge tags to add personalisation to your email campaigns. The merge tag will then pull the data you have saved within your database and display that within your campaign. Our standard merge tags include:  

• Name
• Email address

If you would like the builder to show the other custom fields in your database as merge tags, you will first need to assign your database to your campaign and then go and add your merge tags within the builder.
